Annette Charles has died in Los Angeles at the age of 63.
The Grease actress, who played Cha Cha in the classic 1978 film, passed away at her home on Tuesday night due to complications from cancer, reports TMZ.
"Annette had recently started having difficulty breathing... and when she went to the doctor she learned that she had a cancerous tumor in one of her lungs," a member of the Charles family told the website.
A full statement regarding Charles's death will be released within the next 24 hours.
In addition to her role in Grease, Charles made appearances in several TV shows including The Flying Nun, Gunsmoke, Mod Squad, Bonanza, and The Bionic Woman.
She also received a degree from New York University's School of Social Work in 2001 and taught classes in speech at California State University, Northridge.
Grease star Jeff Conway, who played the role of Kenickie, died in May at the age of 60.
