Emma Stone's mother got drunk, chatted up Brangelina

Emma Stone has revealed her mom had a drunken encounter with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

The actress detailed the cringe-worthy night her mother accompanied her to the Golden Globe Awards. Stone, who was seated on a table next to the Hollywood couple, says her mom was being a little over-zealous with conversation after sipping on complimentary fizz.

“We sat at a table next to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, which was like the ultimate thing to bring your mom to.  She never drinks and there was this giant bottle of Moet champagne because they were sponsoring the event, and so she had a lot of champagne, and she was talking to them about the kids, which was really interesting and funny,” Emma said.

“She was getting pretty loose and she was like ‘Now you guys must be so tired, you two!’ And she’s leaning over to me to Angelina Jolie and I’m like [shrugs]. And Angelina’s like ‘Yeah, you know, all these kids,’ and my mom’s like ‘How old is the oldest, oh, they grow up so fast. It flies! It flies!’ I was like ‘Oh boy!’ It was pretty funny.”

Stone recently revealed she wants to do theater.

“I would absolutely love to be on Broadway but I have vocal nodules, so it’s like a miracle I have made it through this week without my voice being gone,” she said.

“I lose my voice all the time. That would be the only thing that would be hard about doing live theater and projecting every night. When I was a kid doing theater I lost my voice every other day and it made the performances really difficult. If I could get a real handle on that, I would love to do theater.

“I was talking to Justin Timberlake and he had that surgery a couple of years ago and he was on vocal rest. And he thought he was never going to be able to sing again. But you have to have voal rest for a month. A month of me not talking? That would be very hard!”
