Charlize Theron 'Action flicks seem Alien'

Charlize Theron has confessed hat taking part in an action movie has always seemed alien to her but that is exactly why she likes it.

The Monster actress says that thanks to Ridley Scott and his Alien movies she felt inspired as a young girl to take up acting to play strong female roles.

Ripley is like the classic right? I mean, for any girl that ever saw that was like ‘Yeah, it’s time to dance!’ she says.

“I do think that Ridley Scott really was the first person who took full advantage of how you could explore not only that genre but themes that I think only men in cinema had been allowed to explore. And the great thing about him is that I think it lives under his skin. I think.”

Charilize who split with long term partner Stuart Townsend last year recently revealed she thinks marriage is a “divine right” but does not want to wed herself.

“It’s a divine right and when government starts to tell us who can love and what is good love, I do have a problem with that,” she said.

“I have a problem with the fact that our government hasn’t stepped up enough to make this federal, to make this legal.”
